PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise sample display device for an automatic vending machine where a method for illuminating the display of a merchandise sample for the automatic vending machine is improved. SOLUTION: Plural light emitting diodes 9 for illuminating the merchandise sample 6 are provided at the outer peripheral part of the merchandise sample 6 on a display table 8 and inside of the sample 6, and the diodes 9 provided at the outer peripheral part of the sample 6 and the diodes 9 provided inside of the sample 6 are made to emit light simultaneously or individually in accordance with an installing environment.
