PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To link a source program with a development support tool on the side of a local computer without remodeling a development tool on the side of a remote computer and the development support tool on the side of the local computer when an application program on the remote computer is developed from the local computer by using a network. SOLUTION: Form information is defined as an external file 115 regarding a message to be outputted by the development tool 123 on the side of the remote computer 102. And when the development support tool on the side of the local computer 101 specifies place of an error by being linked with the source program 122 in which the error is generated, the place where the error is generated is displayed by analyzing the message outputted by the development tool on the remote computer 102 based on the defined message format information.
