DIGITAL BROADCAST SIGNAL TRANSMITTER AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast signal transmitter that eliminates the time difference between a transmission time of a program information signal and the transmission time of a data broadcast signal caused at program switching so as to prevent occurrence of a rate-over in the case of multiplexing the program information signal with the data broadcast signal in a digital broadcast program and transmitting the multiplexed signal. SOLUTION: A data broadcast transmission section 15 receives instruction information required for stopping transmission of data broadcast data a prescribed time before program switching from an automatic program transmission control section 16 and stops transmission of the data broadcast data before the program switching according to the received instruction information. Then the data broadcast transmission section 15 transfers an index (DII) of the data broadcast data to a multiplexer 13 after the stop of transmission of the data broadcast data and then transfers data broadcast contents (DDB) to the multiplexer 13.
