PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with high safety even in overcharge. SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a positive electrode contains a lithium cobalt nickel composite oxide represented by the general formula, LiCOxNi1-xO2 (0<=x<=1) and a spinel lithium manganese composite oxide represented by general formula, LiMxMn2-xO4 (M is at least one selected from the group comprising Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn, and 0<x<=0.5). |
