PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OSD circuit and an image display circuit that can surely and easily form multi-gradation multi-color display with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The OSD circuit uses a color signal generating circuit that receives 2-bit digital data to generate any of three different outputs or over on the basis of the digital data and provides the output of the result as a color display signal, and is provided with an I signal generating circuit of the similar configuration to above. Superimposing the color display signal and an I signal with each other can increase display gradation furthermore.
