PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a warp-knitted strength fabric being thin, free from anisotropy and excellent in recovery, into which a pattern can be freely inserted. SOLUTION: A plain stick fabric is knitted by a mutually symmetric knitted stitches by utilizing an inelastic yarn and an elastic yarn as knitting yarns by using a raschel machine. A hem part is integrally knitted simultaneously with the knitting and a pattern is inserted into the hem part. The knitted fabric is thin and light, has a transparent feeling and is preferably usable as a knitted fabric especially for a light and small inner wear. A new fashion can be expected since a pattern, etc., can be freely inserted into the hem part.
