PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drawing paper recycled from a waste paper and having the quality exceeding that of a drawing paper comprising a conventional virgin pulp. SOLUTION: This drawing paper is obtained by compounding >=50 wt.% of the waste paper consisting essentially of a chemical pulp having >=80% brightness and has a finishing density of the paper within the range of 0.55 to 0.80 g/cm3 and >=80% finishing brightness.
