PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange method and device for reducing inner pressure loss by reducing pressure drop in a heat exchanger as much as possible in the case of the indirect heat exchange of liquid. SOLUTION: In this heat exchange method, heating or the indirect heat exchange with a cooling medium is performed by passing a plurality of fluid flow through a number of heat exchange paths in a plurality of heat exchange blocks. Only a specific flow out of the fluid flow passes at least one specific heat exchange block. A heat exchange path for specific flows (14, 15, and 16) of specific heat exchange blocks (23a-23e) is terminated at both the end face parts of the specific heat exchange blocks (23a-23e). The specific flows (14, 15, and 16) are connected to the specific heat exchange blocks (23a-23e) and are introduced into or taken out of the heat exchange path of the specific heat exchange blocks (23a-23e) via a collector or a distributor (41) that is connected to the specific heat exchange blocks (23a-23e) and communicate with each total region of both the end faces.
