PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music data transmitting device which transmits music data having the same contents and enables a reception side to reproduce the same musical performance irrelevantly to the kind of its interface in use when reproducing the musical performance. SOLUTION: A control part 10 of a MIDI-adaptive device 100 controls the timing of MIDI data supply to a communication part 50 so that the bit rate of the transmission of MIDI data through a high-speed interface is as high as the bit rate of the transmission of the MIDI data through a MIDI interface.
