PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make image quality high by preventing irregular gradation and a stripe from being caused and preventing fogging, scattering and filming from occurring. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with an electrostatic latent image carrier 1 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a developer carrier 10 to which one-component non-magnetic developer is supplied and which comes into contact with the image carrier 1 so as to develop the electrostatic latent image, voltage applying means 20 and 21 applying AC superimposed bias voltage to the developer carrier 10, and an elastic regulating member 12 abutting on the developer carrier 10 and regulating the thickness of a developer layer on the developer carrier 10 by generating a potential difference between the member 12 and the developer carrier 10 to which the AC superimposed bias voltage is applied by using a semiconductor member at its edge. Then, the developer layer forms a linear rugged carrying surface on the developer carrier 10 by the AC superimposed bias voltage applied to the developer carrier 10. |
