PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a whole liquid crystal display device which is equipped with a double-structured cold-cathode tube as a back light. SOLUTION: In a lower shielding case 3 that is arranged at a lower side of upper and middle shielding cases 1, 2 in which a liquid crystal display panel is housed, the light source device 11 having the double-structured cold-cathode tube 16 is arranged. The cold-cathode tube 16 is structured wherein an outside tube 18 is installed at its outside except both end parts of a cold-cathode tube main body 17, and leads 19 are installed at the both end parts of the cold- cathode tube main body 17. An outside diameter of a rubber electrode holder 21 that is mounted on the both end parts of the cold-cathode tube main body 17 is a little larger than that of the outside tube 18 in order that the cold- cathode tube 16 is mounted on the lower shield case 3. |
