PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source element and a method for manufacturing the same in which an emitted light control sheet cannot peel easily. SOLUTION: The surface light source element is provided with a light source 2, a reflector 10, a light transmission body 3 on which the light reflected by the reflector 10 from the light source 2 is made incident from an end surface 1, an emitted light control sheet 4 which is provided on the light-emitting surface of the light transmission body 3 and where a plurality of projecting parts 7 to make the light from the light-emitting surface turn to the front direction of the light-emitting surface are arranged on a surface opposed to the light transmission body 3, and an intermediate film 8 which is provided in the middle of the light transmission body 3 and the emitted light control sheet 4, and has adhesive layers 9 and 11 on both sides. The ratio of the moisture absorption expansion coefficient of the intermediate film 8 to the emitted light control sheet 4 is in the range of 0.1-10, and/or the ratio of the coefficient of thermal expansion is in the range of 0.5-2. |
