PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation guide mechanism which is capable of surely transporting photographic paper in a prescribed direction without meandering even if an error in the width of the photographic paper or an error in the installation of guide members occurs. SOLUTION: This mechanism has a pair of the right and left guide members which have guide surfaces to allow the sliding contact of both side edges of the photographic paper transported by a transporting section and guide the photographic paper in a prescribed direction. The one guide member is disposed displaceably in a direction where the guide member moves closer to or part from the other guide member side. This guide member is energized in the direction where the guide member moves closer to the other guide member side. In addition, the entry port side of the photographic paper on the guide surface is formed on a tapered surface widening toward the entry port.
