PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver that measures and displays quality of a received signal and does not confuse a digital broadcast signal with an analog broadcast signal in the case of adjusting an azimuth of an antenna. SOLUTION: An error detection and correction circuit 9 of the digital broadcast receiver calculates an error rate from an error amount with respect to an amount of input information. A control section 15 converts the error rate into the C/N as the quality of a received signal and the C/N is displayed on a screen of a television receiver 5 or the like or on other display device 18. Thus, after a received digital broadcast signal is digitally demodulated, the error detection and correction circuit 9 obtains the error rate, and the error rate is converted into the quality of the received signal and displayed. Thus, the display method has higher accuracy and stability in comparison with the display method of reception performance on the basis of an input level of an AGC voltage or the like and the quality of the received signal is detected from the reception of the digital broadcast. Thus, while referring to the display of an antenna input level when an antenna azimuth adjustment mode is selected, the digital broadcast signal can be surely received without being confused with an analog broadcast signal.
