COPOLYMER LATEX FOR COATING PAPER, COMPOSITION FOR COATING PAPER AND DOUBLE COATED PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copolymer latex for coating paper capable of providing a composition for coating the paper excellent in coating suitability, especially during blade coating. SOLUTION: This copolymer latex for coating the paper is characterized in that the latex is obtained by carrying out emulsion polymerization of an aliphatic conjugated diene-based monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and other monomers copolymerizable therewith, has 0.05-0.15μm weight-average particle diameter and comprises copolymer particles having a particle diameter within the range of 25-55μm and remaining in the latex in an amount of <=0.1 wt.% based on the latex whole solid weight. The composition for coating the paper for the blade coating comprises the latex. The double coated paper is prepared by carrying out the double coating of the composition for coating the paper for the blade coating as top coating of the double coating.
