PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reluctance motor, the rotor thereof, and members for the rotor where the ratio of direct-axis(d-axis) inductance to quadrature-axis(q-axis) inductance, which exerts a large influence on the improvement of motor characteristics, and torque ripples are reduced. SOLUTION: With respect to the reluctance motor comprising a stator, having projected magnetic poles on which winding is to be formed and the rotor having salient poles formed by laminating stamped steel plates in the axial direction, the rotor thereof, and the members for the rotor, the rotor is provided in the salient poles with a plurality of slots formed along the direction of the length of the magnetic poles with the heads thereof being open or in the slots and the yokes thereof with a plurality of slits bridging the salient poles and formed in the circumferential direction.
