PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent howling by improving the shape of the main frame while reducing partial stress concentration on the shadow mask, and preventing plastic deformation or rupture in the heat treatment of the cathode ray tube of the shadow mask and to provide a mask tension assembly of the flat-screen color cathode ray tube improving rigidity without increasing the size and production cost of the mainframe. SOLUTION: Width of an under side plane 22 fixed to a sub-frame 3 of the main frame 2 is enlarged in the central portion compared with two end portions.
