PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording disk driving device which prevents the erroneous insertion of a different kind of disk cartridge by easily discriminating adaptability to the recording disk driving device and also into which the different kind of disk cartridge is inserted if necessary. SOLUTION: In the disk driving device having a disk cartridge wherein a disk housing space is formed in the inside, a head inserting part and a disk driving shaft inserting part are provided in a prescribed position and a shutter for opening and closing the head inserting part and the disk driving shaft inserting part is provided and a cartridge holder for attachably and detachably holding the disk cartridge, a projected part and a recessed part for preventing the different kind of disk cartridge from erroneous insertion are provided in the cartridge holder, and the recessed part and the projected part for being inserted into the cartridge holder are provided in the disk cartridge.
