PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device for a lid body having no ejecting button and having a small number of parts. SOLUTION: In the opening and closing device for the lid body 2 wherein the lid body 2 which opens and closes the opening 6 of an equipment main body 1 is supported to supporting parts 1a, 1b provided within the equipment main body 1 so as to vertically move and be rotatable by rotating shafts 5a, 5b provided in its lower end, an energizing spring 7 which energizes the lid body 2 upward and in the opening direction is provided between the lid body 2 and the inner wall of the equipment main body 1, and moreover an engaging projection 8 which engages with a lock lever 9 provided in the equipment main body 1 side so as to hold the closing state of the opening 6 by the lid body 2 against energizing force of the energizing spring 7 in the closing state of the lid body 2 is provided in the side edge part of the lid body 2. Engagement between the engaging projection 8 and the lock lever 9 is released and the lid body 2 is raised and rotated by energizing force of the energizing spring 7 to be opened by pushing down the lid body 2 downward along the supporting parts 1a, 1b via the rotating shafts 5a, 5b in the closing state of the lid body 2.
