PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine which is capable of selling of even the merchandise which is large in height. SOLUTION: In the case of housing the merchandise B which is large in height in a merchandise column 20, the merchandise C which is small in height is housed in a column 2 of a lower stage and a merchandise column 20 of a middle stage is moved to the side of the column 20 of the lower stage. Thus, an interval between the column 20 of the middle stage and the column 20 of an upper stage is increased so that the merchandise B can be housed in the column 20 of the middle stage.
