PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitter-receiver provided with an interface converter for transmitting data at higher speed to a host computer provided with a USB interface and a peripheral equipment provided with an IEEE1284 interface. SOLUTION: The interface converter compresses data received from the USB host computer and transmits the data to the peripheral equipment provided with the IEEE1284 interface. The peripheral equipment that received the compressed data expands the data. The data transfer speed is accelerated by compressing the data of the IEEE1284 interface whose data transfer speed is low.
