PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming an image without transfer scattering by securing tight contact between an image carrier and transfer material in an area where blurred transfer occurs and preventing the blurred transfer. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, transfer is performed in a transfer nip formed by making a transfer roller 21 for electrostatically transferring a toner image to recording paper 100 abut on an intermediate transfer belt 6 carrying the toner image. The end 23a of a 2nd guide member 23 guiding the recording paper to the transfer nip is positioned on the intermediate transfer belt side from a line C linking the regulating spot 22a of a 1st guide member 22 with the entrance of the transfer nip. By such arrangement, the more trailing edge side part of the recording paper than the part of the recording paper advanced to the transfer nip is curved to project. As a result, the tight contact in the area where the blurred transfer occurs is secured.
