PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iodine laser device for improving laser output. SOLUTION: This iodine laser device is provided with a laser resonator, a means for generating an oxygen molecule in an excitation state, a means for forming a first flow including the oxygen molecule in an excitation state, a means for dislocating an iodine molecule into an iodine atom, a means for forming a second flow including the dislocated iodine atom, a first injection opening for injecting the first flow toward the laser resonator, and a second injection opening for injecting the second flow toward the laser resonator in parallel with the first flow being injected from the first injection opening. Also, the iodine laser device is provided with a nozzle means. By the nozzle means, a flow rate difference is given between the first flow and the second one at a mixture point where the first flow being injected from the first injection opening is mixed with the second flow being injected from the second injection opening for starting mixing, a shock wave is generated at the upstream side of the laser resonator by the flow rate difference, and the mixture of an excitation oxygen in the first flow and dislocated iodine in the second flow is accelerated. |
