PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple branch receiver architecture which utilizes possible bandwidth, flexibility and/or time and/or phase coherence capability, which are given by an A/D converter, in the conversion of analog signal into digital domain. SOLUTION: A receiver provides an analog signal received at a plurality of channel branches, and the frequency of the received analog signal is adjusted at least in one channel branch regardless of the relation to the relative position of the corresponding analog signal in the radio frequency(RF) spectrum. The analog signals in the channel branch are coupled, and the coupled analog signal is then converted to the digital domain. For example, the receiver includes at least one antenna for receiving the radio frequency(RF) analog signal. A channel branch arranger receives an analog RF signal and provides the RF analog signal to a plurality of channel branches.
