PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost disk reproduction system with excellent user- friendliness while being compatible with a plurality of recording systems. SOLUTION: Information of a recording system such as the NTSC or the PAL obtained at the side of a DVD player 1 is transmitted to a TV monitor system 2 through a LAN line 32 that is another communication line than a video image cable 31 that is a video image transmission line. The TV monitor system 2 selects the operating mode of video processing circuits such as a composite RGB conversion section 22 and a timing controller 23 according to the received recording system information to switch the processing contents.
