PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enclosure for an electronic device such as a display device that can prevent production of abnormal sound such as a creaking noise or a rattle sound. SOLUTION: An engagement piece section 24 where an end ridge part 14b1 of a circumferential part 14b of a rear cover 14 is fitted to a cabinet 12 is formed to a fitting part between the cabinet 12 and the rear cover 14 configuring the enclosure toward the cabinet 12, and ribs 25 in slide contact with an inner face of the cabinet 12 are projected in forward/backward directions to the circumferential part 14b of the rear cover 14 at positions opposed to each other with the engagement piece section 24 inbetween at a required gap so as to fit the cabinet 12 and the rear cover 14 in a mutually line contact with each other.
