PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifying apparatus in which a distortion component generated in an output from the amplifier can be compensated excellently even when the gains of an auxiliary amplifier are small, even when the auxiliary amplifier is not used in a feedback system in an extreme case. SOLUTION: The amplifier is constituted so as to have the amplifier 3, the first distribution circuit 1 distributing an input signal into a main signal to be amplified in the amplifier 3 and an auxiliary signal for detecting distortion at the pre-stage of the amplifier 3, a distortion compensation signal generating circuit 10 in which a distortion compensation signal for compensating the distortion component contained in the output from the amplifier 3 is generated on the basis of the auxiliary signal and the output from the amplifier 3 and the distortion compensation signal is input to the amplifier 3, and a main-signal coupled circuit 2 coupling the main signal obtained by the first distribution circuit 1 with the distortion compensation signal.
