PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of realizing the prolongation of the exchanging cycle of an electrifying means, the prolongation of the service life of the entire device and the reduction of running cost. SOLUTION: The electrifying means 2 press-contacting with an image carrier 1 and electrifying the image carrier 1 is made to press-contact with the image carrier 1 by a pressing means 30 equipped with a turning member 33 whose one end is fixed, a spring member 32 provided between the turning end of the member 33 and the means 2 and a turning means 34 turning the member 33 in a direction where the member 32 is compressed. By controlling the turning means 34 so that the pressing force of the pressing means 30 may be increased in specified timing by a pressing force control means, a nip part between the means 2 and the image carrier 1 has specified contact area even when the means 2 is worn out.
