PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of circulation of a refrigerant in a cooling system for switching cooling a cold room and a freezing room, and to improve efficiency. SOLUTION: A closed loop is formed by a compressor 1, a condenser 2, a first capillary 7, and a first evaporator 3. Then, a second capillary 8 and a second evaporator 5 are connected so that the first capillary 7 and the first evaporator 3 are in parallel to switch the flow of the refrigerant by channel control means 10 and 11. When switching from the cooling of a freezing room 6 by the second evaporator 5 to the cooling of a cold room 4 by the first evaporator, the compressor 1 is operated while the channel control means 10 and 11 are closed down for specific time, and then the cold room 4 starts to be cooled, thus rapidly forcing out the refrigerant staying in the second evaporator toward the side of the compressor 1 and hence cooling the cold room 4 efficiently.
