PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance-free linear guide device with long service life stably and automatically feeding appropriate quantity of lubricant for a long period relative to a rolling element inside a slider for the linear guide device. SOLUTION: A lubricant sump 20 comprising a lubricant-containing polymer member is provided in a clearance space 15 where a guide rail 1 and the slider 2 are opposed to each other in the slider for the linear guide device. The lubricant gradually seeps out from the lubricant sump with the lapse of time and automatically fed to a rolling element rolling groove 5 and the rolling element 8. This constitution can thus provide a favorable lubrication for a long time.
