PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit and a method for determining whether a brushless multi-phase motor is rotating in the reverse direction to the rotating direction during the normal operation period. SOLUTION: This circuit receives a reverse electromotive force signal of a first phase line and determines polarity of the reverse electromotive force signal, after the detection that the reverse electromotive force signal in relation to a second phase line has crossed the zero reference level. Based on the determined polarity of the reverse electromotive force signal of the first phase line, this circuit selective activates an output signal, indicating that the motor is rotating in the reverse direction. |
