PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edit method and device that can optimize e.g. a slot number according to prescribed rules at all times even when the edit operation is conducted so as to reduce a slot number setting time and decrease a calculation amount for the assignment of the slot number even when number of slots on a page is much increased in the case of e.g. automatically keeping the assignment of the slot number in real time. SOLUTION: The edit device of this invention is provided with an operation detection means 201 that detects an operating state of the edit device, an area information acquisition means 204 that acquires area information, an area comparison means 202 that compares the area information with area information obtained by the operation detection means 201 according to prescribed rules, an area data arrangement means 203 that arranges area data on the basis of a comparison result of the area comparison means 202, and an area number setting means 205 that sets the area number. The edit device keeps the assignment of the area numbers set by the area number setting means 205 according to prescribed rules all the time. |
