PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data distribution system that allows a decoding terminal with a simple configuration to conduct special reproduction. SOLUTION: The data distribution system is composed of a server unit 1 which is provided with a special reproduction control section that inputs a special reproduction request of a user, a data storage section 2 that stores data, a data control section 4 that converts the data stored in the data storage section 2 into special reproduction data according to a kind of special reproduction on the basis of the special reproduction request inputted by the special reproduction control section 3, a muliptlexer section 5, and a transmission section 6, and a decoding terminal 10. The server unit 1 transmits the special reproduction data converted by the data conversion section 4 to the decoding terminal 10 via the multiplexer section 5, the transmission section 6 and a communication channel to allow the decoding terminal 10 to realize the special reproduction.
