PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a data slicer to quickly adjust itself to the difference of a packet length. SOLUTION: This adjustable data slicer uses two peak detectors so as to change voltage for a signal hold component formed integrally with the two peak detectors according to a specific function, responds to an adjustable time constant selection mechanism and can dynamically change the time constants of charging and discharging circuits. Thus, the data slicer can quickly adjust itself to a changing signal parameter by using a smaller time constant while maintaining high performance by using a large time constant.
