PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional DVD reproducing device that has caused trouble of detailed setting on a user for every reproduction because initial setting jobs made by the user are diversified in the case of DVD reproduction. SOLUTION: In the case of reproducing a recording medium on which reproduction information in language systems by a prescribed language system, the reproduction language is stored to the recording medium while the recording medium is reproduced and the information is reproduced in a stored language at the next reproduction. Furthermore, a language used by many people in a prescribed area is discriminated according to area information. Thus, the recording medium reproducing device, the DVD reproducing device and the recording medium reproducing method can be provided, where a huge number of users can execute reproduction of a recording medium in a desired language system without the need for any setting operation.
