PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronization establishing method for a mobile station in a mobile radio communication system, in which the influence due to noise and interference is reduced and which has higher precision. SOLUTION: In this mobile radio communication system, a mobile station detects a signal transmitted form a base station, and a synchronizing channel is multiplexed periodically with a down-link signal, in order to synchronize with the signal. The mobile station averages a correlation value 201 of the synchronizing channel, in the same phase in a complex number of the amount a plurality of periods as is and calculates electric power based on the average result and performs peak detection.
