DATA TRACK ENCODING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for encoding a plurality of data tracks recorded in a tape/data recording medium. SOLUTION: In the encoding method of a plurality of data tracks for recording them in the tape/data recording medium, a plurality of data tracks written into the tape/data recording medium include steps for writing preamble areas before user data areas in the data track, and the preamble area has a preamble data sequence having a power spectrum which is substantially similar to the power spectrum of substantially random data.
