PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem such that when coupling from a signal line to a Cs line and a gate line occurs in the case of writing a pre-charge black signal, the coupling causes horizontal tailing of a boundary part when displaying such as black window and black lines. SOLUTION: In a dot line inversion-dot sequential two-step pre-charge driven liquid crystal display device, pre-charge pulses FPCG are generated in a batch during a horizontal blanking period before an inverted video signal is supplied to a signal line in horizontal scanning, and based on the batch of pre-charge pulses FPCG, pre-charge gray signals of the same polarity as that of the preceding pixel potential are written in a batch, and thereafter, pre-charge black signals and the pre-charge gray signals having the same polarity as that of each video signal of the inverse polarity are written by two steps.
