PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method capable of performing translucence processing without increasing the memory area of a color pallet and also in a pixel unit by discriminating whether color data are translucent color data or opaque color data depending on areas of the color pallet. SOLUTION: This image processor has a translucence setting register 19 storing translucent register values for performing specifying whether these color data are translucent or opaque with respect to the color data stored in a color pallet 15, a comparator 20 which compares the magnitude between the a translucence register value with a pallet value outputted from a CG (computer graphics) memory 14 and outputs a translucent signal being the discriminated result to a translucence processing means 16, the translucence processing means 16 performing a translucence processing or an opacity processing by referring to the translucence signal with respect to the graphic specified by priority data and a color image display device 18 for displaying a color image. |
