GRAPHIC SYSTEM FOR COMPOSING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGES GENERATED SEPARATELY

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finally render a composed image on a display screen after composing plural three-dimensional images in the two-dimensional graphics image processing pipeline of a computer graphics system. SOLUTION: The graphics system including graphics application for controlling the 2D image processing pipeline is provided. The application controls the pipeline to compose the first 3D image with the second 3d image generated separately from the first image. The pipeline processes the Z-coordinate data of both of the images, decides which of the first and the second images is close to the view of the screen and stores the color data of the adjacent image in a frame buffer in preparation for rendering later onto the display screen based on the decision.
