PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recognition by listening to voice, in addition to a recognition by characters by outputting the voice regarding character data. SOLUTION: When received character data is decoded by a decoder 10, a word splitting circuit 21 splits the data into work units, a voice memory circuit 22 outputs voice data corresponding to the split character data, a D/A converter 30 converts the data into an analog signal, and a loudspeaker 40 outputs the signal as voice. Thus, the character data is output as voice. The output of the decode 10 is stored in a memory 50, and displayed as characters on an LCD 60. The LCD 60 inputs the number of bytes of the work at each word from the splitting circuit 21 and highlights to display each number of bytes. |
