PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the air-fuel ratio due to a sudden change of the purge quantity by improving the responsiveness of purging in a low purge quantity area. SOLUTION: In the low purge quantity area, especially immediately after starting the purge, the valve opening duty of a purge control valve is increased with the vibration. Periodicity can be given to this vibration. In an area unnecessary to improve the responsiveness of the purging, the vibration of the valve opening duty is stopped or the amplitude of the vibration is gradually converged to zero.
