PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the detection level of an abnormal shade candidate to be the proper one in accordance with past abnormal shade candidate detecting information in an abnormal shade candidate detecting system. SOLUTION: The system is provided with an abnormal shade candidate detecting means 1 for detecting the abnormal shade candidate based on mammography P. The system is also provided with a past information obtaining means 2 for receiving the input of information concerning the detection of the abnormal shade candidate in the past about a subject and a detection level changing means 3 for changing the detection level of the abnormal shade candidate by the means 1 with respect to a specified area corresponding to a past abnormal shade candidate detecting area which is inputted to the means 2.
