PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection method for a wireless mobile terminal, which enhances the accuracy of position detection. SOLUTION: This invention provides a position detection method for a wireless mobile terminal to measure the position of the wireless mobile terminal capable of wireless communication with the base stations. The electric field strength of radio waves sent from base stations is measured at a position of the wireless mobile terminal, the distance between the wireless terminal and each of the base stations is calculated at a 1st distance on the basis of the electric field strength obtained by the measurement, the position coordinates of the wireless mobile terminal is tentatively decided, a distance between each of the position coordinates of the base stations and the position coordinates of the wireless mobile terminal is calculated as a 2nd distance, and the position coordinates of the wireless mobile terminal is corrected on the basis of an error between the 1st distance and the 2nd distance to obtain the position coordinates with a small error. |
