<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing jig and a fixing method for electric fusion that permit backfilling work even in a cooling time while ensuring fusion quality and thereby shorten total time for fusion connection and time for piping work. SOLUTION: The pipe fixing jig for an electro-fusion joint is for use in the connection of an underground resin pipe by means of an electro-fusion joint, and fixes two resin pipes together, or the resin pipe and a joint pipe portion when the shell is inserted in the resin pipe inserted in the joint and is then operated from the outside to a radially expanded position. The pipe fixing method for an electro-fusion joint is for use in the connection of an underground resin pipe by means of an electro-fusion joint, and works in the way where a shell is inserted in the resin pipe inserted in the joint and is then radially expanded to fix two pipes together, or the pipe and a joint pipe portion and the electro-fusion joint is energized to provide electric fusion between the joint and the pipe, whereupon the feeder cable is removed from the joint, soil is returned as the backfill, and the shall is radially constricted and removed away from the outside of the resin pipe end.</p> |
