PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide telephone number guidance, by which even a person who cannot utilize the Internet can easily receive service. SOLUTION: In this telephone number guiding system by which a telephone subscriber 1, provided with a terminal capable of notifying a caller telephone number inquires of a telephone company 10 a telephone number, the telephone company 10 is provided with a telephone line switching device 30 for receiving inquiry from the telephone subscriber 1, a number-guiding device 40 provided with a reception stand 41 for receiving inquiry contents, a subscriber information management device 50 for extracting an inquiry result for the inquiry contents from the reception stand 41 and originating the inquiry result back to the number-guiding device 40 and a caller telephone number notifying device 20 for displaying the inquiry result to the terminal, capable of notifying the caller number of the telephone subscriber 1. The telephone subscriber 1 is made to temporarily hang up the telephone, after inquiring of the telephone company 10 and is called out, immediately after the inquiry result is displayed.
