PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system having good operability while efficiently using an address space. SOLUTION: A first program is stored in a first memory, a second program including the alteration processing of the first program is stored in a second memory, they are allocated to a first address space in common, a work area RAM is allocated to a second address space, the first address space is used for the first memory in a first operation mode, the first address space is used for the second memory by switching the mode to the second memory, the second program is copied to a RAM of the second address space, and the first address space is switched to the first memory by execution of the second program, thereby correcting the first program stored therein.
