PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type screen device which is less deteriorated in image quality by a change in temperature and humidity and facilitates the management and handling of lens sheets. SOLUTION: The transmission type screen device of a rear projector comprising the lenticular lens sheet 1 and Fresnel lens sheet 2 which are at least two sheet-like members, is provided with a frame 3 having a screen holding mechanism which is capable of setting the angles of upper and lower (right and left) retaining segments of the respective sheet-like members respectively at different angles. This frame has a means capable of setting the angles of the upper and lower retaining segments in such a manner that the close-contact property between the respective sheet-like members increases.
