PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel monitoring method capable of measuring cracks occurring in a tunnel bedrock over a wide range and at narrow intervals and increasing the accuracy of a decision on the collape of a tunnel accordingly. SOLUTION: In order to decide the collapse of the tunnel 10 in advance, for the tunnel monitoring method for monitoring a state of the tunnel bedrock 11, AE(acoustic emission) occurring in the bedrock 11 of the tunnel 10 is measured through a member coming into contact with the bedrock 11, and the collapse of the tunnel 10 can be decided on the basis of the meaured AE.
