<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the distribution of the amount of wear of a work roll in the direction of the body length of the work roll in the operation of hot rolling with high accuracy. SOLUTION: When hot rolling for obtaining a prescribed thickness by using at least two upper and lower rolls is performed and the distribution of the amount of wear of the work roll in the direction of the body length of the work roll is predicted during rolling, the predictive calculation of the amount of wear of the work roll per rolled stock is performed using draft r, tolling load P, width b, length L of a plate after rolling and roll diameter D at each rolling pass.</p> |
